The Aims of YRFU CUP
To encourage more players ,to play competitive rugby across Yorkshire. Welcome all new teams at age groups from U14s, U15s and U16s , whether or not they have any prior experience.
Include them all because working as a team enriches our lives. Encourage players and coaches to work for the team, not for themselves alone, both on and off the field.
Encourage young people to take pride in their team and club, rely on one another and understand that each player has a part to play.

To make Yorkshire Cup fixtures a special match for players to learn from and develop their skills and knowledge of Rugby Union.
To highlight the core values of Rugby Union from players, coaches, officials and supporters.
Waterfall Format
This means that once Teams have entered the Age Grade Yorkshire Cup they are guaranteed at least 5 matches across Yorkshire. There is no knock-out element to the competition and as the games proceed teams are more likely to play against teams of their own standard.
After the five rounds the teams will finish in 6 groups
Europe - Won 5
Asia North - Won 4
America - Won 3
Africa South - Won 2
America - Won 1
Australasia - Yet to Win a game
The Yorkshire Cup Final teams will be decided on a last two teams standing basis or the best two teams by points difference.
